Favouritism and gender equality in ASN

As reported by Manuel Bagues at the Festival dell'Economia of Trento, the process of Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale should be evaluted carefully and in a medium term perspective, before introducing any reform.

After an analysis of the data, also compared with the Spanish Sistema de Habilitación Nacional, he finds out that, apparently, favouritism has been less present in Italy than in Spain, and warns us against the temptation of introducing some "gender quotas" that can be counterproductive.

Having a look at this analysis can help understanding the process from a factual and comparative point of view, fuelling the discussion with real data.
